Senior Barista
We're looking for an experienced, passionate barista who takes pride in every cup. You'll lead morning beverage service, mentor junior team members, and help shape our café culture from behind the bar. Your expertise in espresso technique and customer connection will make every visit memorable for our tatte bakery guests.
- 2+ years of specialty coffee experience in a high-volume environment
- Deep knowledge of espresso extraction, milk texturing, and latte art
- Strong communication skills and a genuine love of hospitality
- SCA certification is a plus but not required
Pastry Chef — Bakery Production
Join our production kitchen team and help create the baked goods that make Tatte famous. From laminated pastries to seasonal cakes, you'll work alongside experienced pastry chefs in a collaborative environment where quality and creativity are both celebrated.
- Formal culinary training or equivalent professional experience
- Proficiency in classic pastry techniques including lamination and tempering
- Ability to follow recipes precisely while bringing creative flair
- Early morning availability (shifts begin at 4:00 AM)
Café Host & Floor Team Member
The face of Tatte is our hospitality team. As a Café Host, you'll welcome guests, manage seating, support the service flow, and ensure every visitor leaves with a smile. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a lively, people-facing environment and wants to grow in the food and beverage industry.
- Previous customer service or hospitality experience preferred
- Warm, approachable personality with strong communication skills
- Ability to stay calm and efficient during busy service periods
- Weekend availability required
Assistant Café Manager
Help lead our café operations and inspire the team to deliver exceptional experiences daily. As Assistant Manager, you'll support scheduling, inventory, staff development, and daily floor leadership. This is a wonderful opportunity to step into restaurant leadership at one of DC's most beloved spots.
- 2+ years of supervisory experience in food service or hospitality
- Strong leadership, coaching, and conflict resolution abilities
- Familiarity with POS systems, scheduling tools, and inventory management
- ServSafe certification or willingness to obtain within 60 days
Catering & Events Coordinator
Coordinate and execute Tatte's growing catering and private events program. You'll work directly with corporate clients, event planners, and our kitchen team to deliver flawless food experiences outside the café walls. Attention to detail, organizational skills, and a passion for hospitality are essential.
- Experience in event coordination, catering sales, or hospitality management
- Excellent organizational and project management skills
- Strong client-facing communication and relationship-building ability
- Ability to manage multiple events simultaneously under deadlines
